Common Projects is a brand established in 2004 in New York City by Prathan Poopat and Flavio Girolami. They had a straightforward vision, which was to produce luxury sneakers with clean, minimalist design, and without a loud brand. The outcome was the legendary Achilles Low which was made in Italy using a high quality leather and an unobtrusive gold serial number at the bottom. Such minor details made the brand’s trademark. The sleek silhouette was immediately adopted by the fashion insiders, and Common Projects emerged as a niche brand to become a global one.
