Stepping into the Past
Arriving early gave me time to truly take in the station’s character. The Romanesque arches, the colorful stained-glass windows, and the high ceilings of Union Station transported me back to the 19th century. Families sat with their luggage neatly arranged, college students joked around with headphones dangling from their necks, and business travelers typed away on laptops.
I found a seat in the waiting hall and couldn’t help but look around in awe. This station wasn’t just built to move people—it was built to inspire them.
