Expedia does not have a standard policy for holding reservations without payment, but they do offer a feature called “TripLock” which allows users to hold a flight for a limited time with a small fee, essentially acting as a temporary reservation hold without immediate payment required; however, the reservation will need to be finalized with payment to secure the price.
